i'm actually beyond surprised that the author/artist referenced rafiki. like. i didn't have many expectations for this but it's beyond cute and it seems like the author did a lot of research in preparation of the manga. i just. i still can't believe that rafiki was mentioned!!!!!!!! alongside the mention of luca reconsidering how he viewed the norms around himself after viewing the film. the manga is sacchrinely sweet, and it's adorable. i especially love how the cultural view is shifted. the different types of humor (i was rolling with the "it's a maasai joke!" scene) and a lot of the misunderstanding come purely from a place of naivete and narrow worldview/experience. the protagonist's seem really open to change though! this is really charming so far and i love it, thanks for uploading!
