Things like this make me wish I watched more yakuza movies as a kid. Thankyou for the translation!

So this cemented Shouma as my fave boy, but the fact that Yoshino goes against the sexist bastards she's surrounded by in that passive aggressive way makes me Stan her more. They don't realize it, but she definitely has more power over them (at least the male love interests). Also who is that weird grand daughter who's in love with her granddad????

Page 30 is really cute! Shouma’s like a puppy for Yoshino lol. I really hope we get to see more daily life stuff with the both them.

also the “dick-sisters” part LMAO

Kirishima is a real POS. As he's obviously the sex symbol/love interest this feels a lot more like Josei than Seinen.

wow these translation notes were the best!! except when you said we'd never be able to enjoy it like people reading it in japanese, that bummed me out lmao

at the same time, i'm sad that literally EVERYONE (et tu, shouma?) around yoshino believes women aren't equal to men. i guess yoshino reacts the way she does because she knows she's better than them lol... i hope at least one of them changes their mind down the road but i'm not holding my breath

Kirishima is so weird. I feel like a thirteen year old on Wattpad just decided to throw a bunch of cool male lead character traits together and the result was Kirishima.

Obsessive Yandere✔
Lady Killer✔
Inclined to Violence✔
Masochist✔
Rich boy✔
Emotionless sociopath✔
Strangely obsessed with generic female lead for weird reasons✔

It would work for me otherwise but I can't get in Kirishima's head and I'm starting to think that the mangaka didn't either. Hey. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he isn't a shallow character. Maybe he will make sense with a little back story later on. Or maybe I don't have the brains to understand a comedic caricature of shoujo male lead character traits. Or maybe it's all really deep and brain racking but I just don't get it. Either way, he's not working for me.

I'll keep reading though. It's like my strange love for sucky, poor written, over dramatic Chinese shoujo manhuas. I love them but I am entirely willing to through them under the bus when anyone literally asks any questions about them.

@RubyG8396 cmon the main girl isn't that generic. she occasionally puts on a face that looks like she's having a really angry stroke. i've seen a lot of pushover protagonists and that counts for something (sadly?)

have you read that other manga, Haru No Noroi? it was actually pretty coherent. i'm holding out hope this one will make sense too but who knows

@crimony In my mind she switches from strong to weak. She gets angry - yes, but does she really have any effect on the events of this manga - not really. I really want to believe that she's strong, but this love triangle thing makes her seem especially weak somehow.

It's hilarious reading everyone's over sexism, dude, they're all hardened criminals who kill and main over everything and that's your problem, and why were you expecting anything different to begin with? They're fucking Yakuza.

@RubyG8396 i agree with you.

@Darklight99 well the main character is female, it seems natural to comment on the appearance of sexism in the story (because it is an obstacle she will face). it's as simple as that i think
