Also, I've had this theory for a while (a couple of years) but I think the one that put the hit on Yoshino's grandfather and resulted in her father being killed was Akime Hishiba, the very shady-looking "friend" of both Gaku and Renji. Also an interesting thing I've noticed: both Akime Hishiba and Azami Suou's eyes are drawn in the same way. Could they be somehow related? Like Akime is Azami's uncle or something? And maybe Akime is the reason why Azami hates the yakuza but also kinda works with them without being an official member? That's my two cents...

Gomu =/= condom

This is my two cents. There's a person mentioned sexsomnia in the comment so I will at least let his behaviour slide for now (sleep walking is very real and my family member has it so I understand the severity).

Now the rubber part, in the past he said if he did "something" to her pre-marriage then he would be killed by her family. At this point we can't deny that he LOVES this woman, and I don't think he would force her to do something she doesn't like so he's relieved when he didn't actually insert the thing. But he said "if I was unconscious and there's a condom" implies that this had happened before, and he will do it for real if there's a condom...... Maybe it happened with one of his mistresses? Then it's kinda weird cuz he only sleeps alone, as stated in the chapter when Yoshino had a fever so why would he sleep with other women? But then, the author used "unconscious" specifically, not "sleeping" so eh, I will let it slide for now but author better have some explanation up their sleeves.

He did have sex with tons of women but that's because they are predators/he did that for benefits (money, info,...) and had no feelings whatsoever for them.
