If the cockroach had been in a controlled environment for the last thirty days so I knew what it had eaten (like eggplant girl), and it hadn't exhibited disease symptoms, and it wasn't killed with poison that might be harmful to me, and it was cooked properly, sure, I don't see how that would be different from eating shrimp. It'd be a lot of effort to go to for a single cockroach, though.

That's the best option. But she's likely pretty much dead once she's out if the humans finds her, so maybe B would be better for her.
Going full Skynet is pretty much on par for D, I guess. There's no need to go that extreme, but help save her forest would be nice.
But the most important would be to continue their research. Dunno if meddling more would benefit them.
