I'm trying so hard to care about this manga godammit it's not making things easy
Yup. Why is mc surprised about any of the well known calamities? Why was the blade guy well known (including his participation) despite mc having been unable to find anyone alive after reincarnation (which was why he was surprised the BBG was still alive)? That includes his suddenly existing immortal loli-master? Why is one chapter split in so many parts? And so on.

The publisher splits it into parts for release. We don't do it ourselves.
We try to collect all of the parts together for a batch release, or at least most of one.

It's probably mostly arbitrary, but doing it like this at least maintains the accuracy to the actual release (in that the mangaka does it like this). They could post it as one and maybe ease up load times for us a bit. Pros and cons either way.
I would be surprised if you were the cause for ephtals actions and not the mangaka

I do that from time to time. But I've had many cases where I would make the wrong call to compile the parts into a single release, just to have the publisher push out more parts later on. The numbering for the chapter ends up awkward that way.

Honestly, i think it's better to leave the parts split, as long as they're all uploaded close together. I forget which series it was, but one series i read where the scanlators did combine the parts, the result was jarring due to the fact that the authors seem to make the first page of each part restate the exact same things as the last page of the previous part when they've been instructed to split the chapters.
Basically, partial chapters were becoming more like mini-chapters than fragments of a continuous chapter nowadays

Yeah, though there is a major difference between that serie "splits" and splits of series like this, is that in one of them, they aren't actually splits of 1 chapter, but full chapters that were decided to be put into a decimal loop, while the others are actually just 1 chapter that is split into multiple parts
