I think this manga is way better when consumed in chunks. These individual chapters kind of suck, but if you reread the manga the slow descent into infidelity and imoral sensuality is frankly enchanting. Yea, the plot is kind of dumb. Yea, some of the characters are unlikable. Yea, it takes a while. But this manga has it's theming and atmosphere down to a tee. As you go along reading this manga, you are taken along, you know it's wrong, you are reminded just how wrong it is, but yet still, you see these 2 morons be happy and excited just slipping up a little bit at a time. Just a little, things escalate a bit more. The name "Sunset of Passion" is the perfect descriptor. You know this can't end well. You know the night is coming. But yet still, that passion keeps you staring at the descending sun, ever so more clinging on to that fleeting sunlight, as the inevitability of night crashes along.

That slow and chugging pacing is very much on purpose. You aren't supposed to think they are correct or root for them. You are supposed to carelessly be lulled into the status quo, just the same way the characters are, just for that next "little" slip up to happen because just a little bit more can't be wrong, right?

Completely agreed. Guys, it's not a mystery Tsuyatsuya has written a lot of hentai manga: if you're here to see people having sex, go read those.

Latin American Spanish is translated up to 116. Over the past few months I've used Google Image Translate (or whatever the official name is) to translate those to English. It's acceptable for personal reading compared to nothing for Spanish at least. It's pure shit for Japanese to English which is probably because of language structure differences.

And glad to finally be able to read a PROPERLY TRANSLATED version of this even if I already know what's coming.

We haven't been given any indications that the husband is cheating so to pull that is like introducing the culprit as a new character in the last chapter of a murder mystery. I think he's just a drone.

Makoto got EXACTLY what she settled for: an aging, boring, and stable source of a comfortable (but not more) life "why not" husband.

I was trying to say that I don't believe he is cheating either. We don't know because the only evidence we have is Drone-san talking with Makoto trying to figure why anyone would cheat and that is, as you say, counter-evidence.

I have been unable to find English or other European-language translations of Tasogare no Ethos after JUM dropped it. Using Google Image Translation (whatever it's called) is just too shitty on Japanese to make much sense of. At least it handles some of the European languages well enough for personal use in the absence of a real translation.
