Once again I sincerely thank everyone for your extended patience, we've managed to return to this series after an unexpected 4 months. Hopefully we can return in a much shorter capacity.

This is the first manga I've released after my laptop got wrecked, so I had to rework the font sheet with fonts that I prefer over the older ones while retaining the original font that I took to make our work look unique compared to the other groups.

However, I'm about to approach a very hectic time in my life (studying for board exams) but rest assured we will return in a more faster method (i.e., instead of dumping a whole volume, 3-4 chapters will do) so as to get to other series in a faster light while still making good progress with each.

Of course, this is a very selfish thing from me, to basically request for a "no-snipey-snipey" after disappearing for what could take longer than 4 months (my board exam is on March) but my group's dedication to the series would not waver even then. All I ask for is more time.

Thank you again for reading and may everyone have a wonderful day.

EDIT: Make no mistake though, within the period between this month and March of next year, we'll still have some releases, but it's not as fast as I would have liked it to be.

Thanks for the chapter! Didn’t noticed the recent updates, last time I read this series was in 2018 damn! Btw, shouldn’t the course meal here be called a omakase instead of a kaiseki? I could be wrong tho.

Omakase is usually written with the hiragana, so おまかせ, but the kanji (or what I like to think as the big guns) was used, hence the usage of kaiseki. Also the kaiseki kanji is consistently used and brought up in each and every dialogue that mentions it, further bolstering the idea that the kanji should be used instead of the other

I saw the salmon roe parfait and immediately knew it has to be one of the Genei spots, because Buzzfeed's Worth It featured the Roppongi branch in its ramen episode in 2017 with the exact appetizer parfait and shiokaoru ramen (unfortunately this branch closed down in 2018).

The shop featured in this chapter is the GENEI.WAGAN in Shibuya.
The original Men Gekijou Genei flagship store in Fukuoka, briefly mentioned after the end of the chapter and in the liner notes, closed its doors late last year (December 28, 2025), but you can still visit the Shibuya location featured here.

Not necessarily - omakase means "to entrust" (to the chef), and refers to a specific kind of course meal where the menu is left entirely to the chef's creative designs, whereas kaiseki typically refers to a traditional Japanese course meal, but can also be used to refer to small-portioned course dinners in the haute cuisine style in general, even without all of the traditional Japanese elements. So, kaiseki is not necessarily the "wrong" term here, although you might be able to find pedantic Japanese linguists who disagree; on the other hand, if Koizumi had any hand in selecting her course (as might be implied by the card on page 16 reading "Koizumi-sama's Course Selection"), omakase would be an incorrect descriptor.
