Today my random roll was this,
A mystery supernatural Manga about spirits in old Japan. It has nice art and it was written by the author of a cult classic series Shiki.
It's the kind of stuff I enjoy, and eventually I'll read this to completion.

So, Day 3
Today's theme is the unexpected.
I rolled cancelled 11.ch Sci-Fi manga The Planet Garaga by Mikuriya Satomi. Who i didn't reconzie at first, so I opened their MangaDex page and saw

For those who don't know, these are the manga for the anime series "Twinkle Nora Rock Me"
Which is considered one of the most badly animated anime to have ever been made ૮o.o ა

So if you had told me, that The Planet Garaga would have genuinely great art, I would have called you words like "Stupid", "Insane", and "Who are you and how the fuck did you get into my house?!" the last one isn't a word but a sentence ૮'ᆺ' ა

Overall the manga's story is alright, but a bit rushed ૮ .ᆺ. ა
Which, if you're like me, you would expect to be because it's a cancelled manga
But no, the story is just rushed and the manga ends with a "End of Part 1" message
So because of that, I can't really recommend the manga, as we'll never see the ending as the author has died

but if you want my (bad) summery of it, here you go;

Spoiler: Spoilers for the manga

The story is about freighter/transportation spaceship crashing on an alien world, and having to fight to survive
In this manga's world, humans have yet to find any 'earth like' planets, so the spaceship crew should be the first, but they immediately call that into question due to the presence of a gate in orbit of the planet. Gate's are the Sci-Fi MacGuffin that gets humans from star to star.

After the crash, is where the story kinda just jumps around about what it wants to be, as the captain has to teach the crew what fire is, due to humans being so technologically advanced, but it never comes up again. This is because they crashed in a giant swamp, the the ship is slowly sinking, and will soon be completely submerged.

The crew, while trying to relocate to a better location, end up getting ambushed by this planets inhabitants, the Garaga, that seem to be at a ww1-ww2 level of technology. One of the ships passengers, the daughter of a space-force admiral, gets captured as they mistake her for a 'dreamer' princess (the dreamers never get explained, but they look like humans, and probably are)

One of the crew members, the MC, goes after her with one of the ships robots, but he too gets captured. and both are taken to the Garaga's city. the MC gets put in prison, while the girl gets taken to the temple, where she meets the Garaga's king, who takes her deeper inside, revealing a space-force base hidden inside. The base commander tries to take the girl on a spaceship to fly away, but the girl is an ass who decides to sit and sight-see.

The MC gets almost bured alive by the Garaga, but gets saved by a wizard (btw psychic powers are real in this manga) and his daughter, the daughter helps the MC and the girl (who got left behind by the base commander) to escape the city, and the wizard laughs ominously about his great plan

yeah, the manga just ends there, I thought the base commander would rescues everyone and save them, but no, it just ends there.

Old shoujo always cringe with the shallow story ever. Don't have any good character, just pretty people but cringe. I'm glad there's just 1 chapter.
