This is just like the time with the tomb invasion in Overlord, this man hasn’t been a “good guy” since chapter 1 don’t know why people have a problem with it now. He’s still a top tier MC to me cause his actions have been consistent since the beginning no point feeling sad for random characters no one cares about well atleast I don’t care about.
The issue is he had rules, rules he keeps fragrently breaking now. At the start defo anti-hero but hes just straight up a sociopathic villain now. If we had a reason for this change it could work but no it just he changed over time for the worse and genuinely makes me believe he lied to himself about tye rules and this is whg he got murderhoboed in his first life.

This chapter, all of his preys was related with "Noble Faction". It is "Two birds with one stone" method.
Sure, that not an excuse for inhumanity but he always like that since the beginning. Like tomboy princess said "His method aim for best result with minimal effort".

Not saying that MC is a saint, but didn't he just get rid of people, who would've gone after him anyways?
Plenty of strong people that he would've liked to eat that he didn't kill.

Ok. I had to reread this chapter again. Rou has always been the chaotic neutral or lawful evil type. I didnt really understand why he targeted those people.
For anyone questioning this chapter, the answer is on the 2 top panels of page 17. Those guys Rou killed, would potentially up against him by the noble factions. And not just them, those who the noble faction wants to hire, will be off by Rou.
