Also, I love that the mc doesn't give a damn about enemies who changed their minds
Also also, are those wings just for show? I want to see the mc raining down hell while his shadow summons penetrate everyone in physical combat on the ground

I'm kind of sad for the npcs. They are fighting against gods without knowing it. And they are in a huge disadvantage before MC in term of power. They should learn about players and use them instead of going directly to the battlefield...
Because even if for players it's a game, for them it's reality and they only die once...

They do act like real people instead of scripted likes despite the quest popups. Wonder if there’s ever a chapter where Ira like “who cares you’re not even a real person” and they get an existential crisis

(Tho I half expect one or the programmers to pretend to be an npc to interact in person versus just monitoring mc)

Does make me wonder if some generic npcs selling potions or supplies would respawn if they aren’t made inherently invincible versus “man a guild went on a rampage in this town we have to code new characters for the newbies to be able to buy beginner swords”
