I've read so much manga, from Shounen to Seinen. I've gone through manga such as Berserk, Vagabond and it's really only hit me now how much REAL is a magnum opus for Inoue Takehiko but in my opinion the magnum opus for basically all manga. It touches on themes so deeply engrained it's difficult to separate REAL from reality. It covers so many things that we as individuals live with and even though it's blatantly obvious considering the name of the manga, but REAL is Inoue Takehiko's philosophy on reality and I think that's why he's continued to continue REAL instead of Vagabond, for the fact that this is he wants to draw his life philosophy and truly engrain his legacy in art.
