Sofia represents the shift in culture that stripped Olivia of her uniqueness. All her hardwork, isolating herself, the weight of resposibility pushed towards her to be the best mage was overturned by Sofia. Of course Sofia was just pushing for peace but as human beings we want a source of blame to point at and vent our frustration against.
I hope they can all get along eventually.

Wow, what was that in page 10? "There is something about her eyes, one look is enough to calm the heart..."? She is supposed to have zero magic ability, but is that really true? Maybe she just has ONE ability, and it's not something she can use at will (it's probably always active), and only Olivia was immune to it due to her strong belief that her way of life was not wrong? It wouldn't be the first time "charm eyes" appear in a fantasy story. It may be a skill that's impossible to detect with regular magic.

I would love it if the story takes a turn like this and makes Sophia a villainess, though, in all honesty, I doubt the story will take a turn like this and Olivia will just end up mellowing out, accepting her way of life was wrong, and become a lovestruck idiot joining the MC's harem. Pride be damned.

Nice to see an actually fleshed out villainess story!
Too many rely on it being the expected role for the character and with the often I early simple (though not entirely illegitimate) reason of jealousy, which this is in one facet but is now shown to be much more than that in all the work she's put in being suddenly devalued in a short time.
