I wouldn't blame harem as a ganre for the shortcomings of a writer, I think no one here is a writing expert but we al lcan agree this was severely undercooked and there were a lot of ways to give it a pleasant conclusion, I don't know if I want to read the last chapter lol

As an adult Olivia looks even better for saying she found other things that mattered to her besides Machino. Like, that's ideal in a partner! You don't want to be codependent at the expense of everything else.

If next chapter is the last there is no way this has a satisfying conclusion. What a disappointment.

the way certain bits of dialogue were worded throughout this series, it made it seem like Machino would be learning about different forms of love--romantic, platonic, agape, whatever-else...as even her moment with Olivia in the ferris wheel made it seem like she was really plumbing the depths of what it means to "love" someone, or "be in love with" them, and all the varied nuances and intricacies that such feelings can involve and evoke.

it does not seem like that will actually play out in any meaningful way, however, as it really does feel like the author is choosing the very conventional "love means a single monogamous relationship", and everyone and everything else will be rejected and left by the wayside.
Even if Machino chose only Sophia (or only Olivia), there was so much room for exploring non-romantic love, as I suspect will be the end-state for this series where Machino is concerned. even if she were to marry Sophia, for example--there could have been room to define and portray and flesh out other forms of bonding and companionship with the others, and how that can be just as important, even if it's not "the standard".
Kinda unfortunate, given how much room there was with the premise of Machino's character and the clearly-built harem of characters that all had their own facets of connection that could have been explored and nurtured.

But alas. Maybe that sort of idea's too niche, or too "unsafe" to be considered viable when making a series with the intent of earning income off of it.

Olivia had by far the most fetching, interesting and unique development and storyline in this manga, in comparison everyone elses relationship was not even halfway as developed or explored, huge let down that its going this route. Should have been Olivia or everyone.

okay it either should've been olivia or both olivia and sofia. sofia did not get nearly enough focus and development. olivia really felt like the main love interest for most of this. if it's really ending next chapter and she picks sofia it'll retroactively ruin this whole manga for me. just poorly thought out really.

My Kingdom for a single god damned poly yuri
Heres two that I enjoyed, though they may or may not meet your definition of poly:

Iono the Fanatics
The title character has an entire country made up of women who love and support her and each other, and get frustrated if she's gone overseas for too long.

Ojou-sama wa Love Come no Shujinkou ni naritai!
Protagonist actively seeks having harem-like encounters, and committs to her desires and the girls she's bonded with right to the end.

With such a short time frame, there should never have been a harem.
People whining non stop about Olivia should have won as she’s the only one who had time to be developed properly, forget that there was only time to develop one due to the limited number of chapters.

Any character the writer chose to focus on a little will look like a master piece in comparison to the rest.

It should have only been either Olivia and Sofia, and not trying to cram in a harem when you only have so few chapters to write. Naturally there was no way to develop any of the other cast.

Yo welcome back. Haven't seen you around the yuri parts in a bit.

Unfortunately not every series can learn form Watenare on how to be good.

i'm team sofia, but i feel like the author is trying to gaslight us in this chapter, the date with olivia was much more romantic, besides, sofia route was kind of sidelined after olivia entered the story, olivia is my second favorite, so seeing her like that brings me no joy

Yeah, it's Sofia or Olivia at the end, a bit disappointing she can't choose at least both, but who knows for the ending later

Another disappointing harem, another disappointing yuri harem.
We got the first girl who at best you can describe as "nice", we got the character with the most focus, development, and chapters throughout the series who the MC even admits that she loves, and we have 3 extras who took themselves out immediately.

So of course the first girl won. She was first.

Everyone here is bitching about who Machino ends up with; meanwhile, I'm here pissed off that they set the friend up and then did fuck all with her. Seriously, where's the moment where she's brought into the loop?

Olivia is unquestionably the best girl. The last 3 didn't have a chance and Sophia feels too blandly nice girl but the Japanese do seem to like a bland nice girl so if she's the only winner I'm dissapointed but not surprised.
