Fucking hell no! This was the only place where I could stably read their series now that their site is gone... wtf is wrong with them... they really spit on all the support the readers gave them for over 6 years...

while I agree that it's a shame and they will be really missed, it's really not their fault. They would get into huge legal issues. I don't agree with how they dealt with that, but blame the capitalistic world we live in or whatever.

this is why i wish mangadex had a download button for chapters. this is another reminder/punishment to us who forgot the old ways of downloading everything because there wasnt such things as readers. luckly for us there are people who archive the entierty of mangadex make removals like this moot. sadly another flaw of the dex is that with these removals i dont recall where i left off on the series removed i was reading. hopefully others will pick up the series in time but most likely theyll never do the old chapters so well be forced to use aggragates to read em or download that chunky multi terabyte archive.

Well, they could also just rebrand into something like Reaper Comics and reupload the entire stuff.
Flamescans did something like that, IIRC

Im still sad, I've tried other groups but... they just don't feel the same and with other websites... they are all buggy and full of ads with every click, is there some other way for them to get it back? Idk how stuff works but is it possible for the, to do something to bring it back?

The second website I go to is [redacted], I don't get ads and it's fairly good, but my friend gets ad from time to time? But feel free to check it if you're trying to find a website to read on since Reaper scans is gone🥲

MangaDex has received a request from Reaper Scans to take down all of their chapters, so they can adhere to the c&d they received from Kakao.

RIP Reaper Scans. I enjoyed their novels section and followed some of them but now I'll have to wait until "The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman" webcomic catches up to chapter 699.

The old v3 version of Mangadex before The Dark Times let you see the read status of no-longer-available chapters. Not sure if that's a planned functionality for v5... You could suggest it in the forum for that, though.

looks like Asura Scans has uploaded (or begun to upload) reaper scans stuff onto their website. overgeared popped up, the og reaper scans banners at the beginning of each chapter included.
they had some overlap anyway, but yeah I don't know how I feel about that.

That is my hope, helll ASURA has done it multiple times, and they are worse in every aspect (quality, more greedy, etc).

For me what hurts the most are the novels, some of the comics are being translated with good quality (officially or by other groups) or are popular enough to hope for someone to pick them up.

But novels are more niche so quality translation (emphasis on quality, not MTL garbage) are way harder to find, even if they are officially translated (many official translations are MTL trash, like worse than what we would get doing it ourselves with fucking google)
