The art's been great this chapter, man. I was looking for other stuff the artist did and I'm surprised I didn't find any Kaiju mangas cause the giant monsters we've been getting lately in this manga have all looked sick.

On one hand I feel like Katsuya's downfall came too fast plot-wise but on the other hand I am already tired of his stupid face and the faster he dies the better

No one will ever appreciate the amount of work it takes to clean page-wide sfx besides someone else who does them. It's a thankless task. I'm sure 99.99% of readers would be fine with the sfx translations in the margins.

Tbh I’ve trained myself to ignore all sfx text ever since I was young and read manga in my native language. The sound effect and the action never fit well together in my mind. So I found myself subconsciously ignoring them to the point where I don’t even see them unless I try lol.

I think I read the web novel version of this story, and several events didn't happen or changed. I don't remember this snail to snake fight sequence. Guessing this comic is based on a light novel version, and tries to make Katsuya less of a pain in the ass by having more character moments. Don't think that will work though, as I didn't think I've ever seen anyone ever say they wanted more of him.

The snake and the snail are in the WN, the different are Akira not joining the Snake hunt, and while "winning" there is a lot of dead in the Katsuya group.

after this there is also few different, but mostly in the same plot.

I guess to some this is just another stupid stunt or uninteresting intermezzo, but this Bounty Hunting is one of turning point in both Akira and Alpha relationship and also how Katsuya manage/influence his group and most likely Yumina too.
which going to lead to one of the worse regret Akira would face in the future.
to be honest this is better than the thief hunting plot from the WN which was scrapped in the LN.
