I'm sure Yumina dying is Akira's fault somehow. Katsuya is of course barely useful and causes more death from his incompetence as a leader choosing no good decisions and even going so far as to actively attack and fight with the person who is keeping him alive.

Akira is a bit puzzled about Alpha not saying anything regarding his behaviour towards Katsuya, but he doesn't know she currently can't interfere. I wonder if, once this is over, Alpha will reveal to Akira the non-interference rule, as a way of dissuading him from getting involved with Katsuya.

This was explanied in the LN more so although I forget where in the LN it was brought up so I will spoiler it. Alpha stopped blocking the thoughts that Katsuya was sending out as he was also an old world connector. And yes Akira does this too this why every one thinks he is so weak. He has a low opinion of himself and broadcasts that to other people.

As far as I can remember Alpha never really tell Akira anything about the other project nor is about the non-interference rule. Alpha really never tell him that Katsuya is also old world user nor she tell him about the "any" other old world user.
however she did explain why everyone think Akira is weak. and implied how Katsuya has so much follower in pretty round about way.
Hell, Alpha didn't even tell him about the ruin administrator that still maintain the area, she even actively blocking them from contacting Akira.
