Pretty sure I read somewhere that Akira will off-ed that pickpocket girl, with so many collaterals along the way because he's still salty about the wallet incident. Was that still on motion or we already past that point?

And I like that the Light Novel is going in a different route. That arc was like a point of no return for Akira.

ah, so this has a webnovel and a lightnovel? and this is following the light novel, which had changes... probably for the better since it was probably made later and with: more experience, a better idea of what the story will lead to, and some feedback on how things went on the webnovel?
I do remember that some past chapters had a link to a site to read... one of those on.
I wonder a bit how the machines were described in the novel. For some reason my imagination for text always ends up making something very different from official art... sometimes for the best, others for the worst.

Well, yeah. The light novel introduced improvements and some twists, but I couldn't tell you much since there's only 3 volumes officially translated and I'm currently waiting for the next one.
There is a site that translated the web novel up to where is it atm, but I don't know remember if Mangadex has a rule banning disclosure of such info (probably not, but I'm kinda lazy rn to look it up).
And yes, the books do make an attempt to describe the machines' appearance, but I don't consider them really that detailed - your own imagination is still kinda needed when there's no illustration for the damn thing. Thankfully, this manga has highlighted some interesting designs that would've been nice to read about more clearly in the books.
