Feels like our boy is returning more and more into his original fighting sociopath mode.

I wonder why people like to call the MC a sociopath. He have no symptom of being a sociopath, he can empathies with people like feeling sadness and anger from the victims of mystic garden, and have no problem making healthy relation in his workplace and not just manipulating them for his own gain. He is just the stereotypical stoic warrior that's kind to the innocent but merciless to his enemy.

@evarcrazy89 he is like that only thanks to the charm.
Thanks for the chap, but i think there is a typo. The grampa is obsessed with civil research, not possessed.

There is nothing that indicate that the charm is the thing that make him have a conscience. Even the time after the charm is dispelled and before he is charmed again by the FL, he can sympathize with the plight of the victim of mystic garden that he meet in hospital, and recognize the ideal of the old man that help his father in researching gold body that martial art is not only a tool for violence. He bring out aggressive/violent behavior only for the female lead that he is the victim of love charm of for years, i think that can be considered normal.

@evarcrazy89 yup, they didn't really say that the charm grew his conscience
because they were too busy continuously implying it multiple times in quite a few chapters

he and his blood in general are brilliant martial artists but are also easily swayed into becoming bloodthirsty killing machines who kill their emotions to become even more efficient fighters
they literally stated that his father understood that and so he didn't dispel the charm
half of the mentions we have of mc before the initial charm are about him doing messed up stuff or are implications of him doing messed up stuff, and presumably not in self defense but just from apathy about human life

the dad understood that experiencing love forcefully would change him as a person, and now it lasts even when not talking about the girl
hes learnt lasting empathy and concern for other people and his relationships

You know, despite the guy being set up as the antagonist of this arc, Cheng Huai Feng is actually rather similar to the protag. Both are essentially geniuses.
