Yeah, at first I thought it was just Aoba simply being petty, but it’s starting to feel like it might’ve been something more than that.Starting to see Aobas point when it comes to Kenshin, the guy is passive aggressively smug. Kind of makes me want to see his b*tch ass get knocked down a peg.
In general when you are good looking or possess some talent or fame people will always consider you "charismatic" and your personality nice. If you are ugly or just an average Joe then people will pinpoint your personal flaws more and say you have communication issues when it could be you have the exact same idiosyncrasies of the popular person. Aoba comes off as autistic and autistic people tend to see through the charade of these social games normal people are somehow completely under the spell of (even pointing it out doesn't usually make them aware if it). It's probably very frustrating seeing this 'injustice' and then this 'unjust' person coming to 'save' you like he's a hero while you're in social isolation for asthma and looked down on for it (like Aoba thought in the "is he saying it's deserved to dislike people like me?" Suzuki memory). I'm speculating on thought processes not trying to make some incel statement about society.Yeah, at first I thought it was just Aoba simply being petty, but it’s starting to feel like it might’ve been something more than that.
- The corny talk about having “genius level intuition” because he refused to admit Aoba winning the tournament spooked him
- The half baked compliments he gives opponents after slaughtering them
- that incredibly naïve lecture he tried to give Aoba about taking advantage of an opponents injury in a freaking combat sport
- Now this, “He’s weak” shit.
Aoba has always been pretty solid at quietly observing people from a distance. So maybe on a subconscious level, he was able to detect the more negative aspects of Kenshin that people are willing to ignore due to charisma. But since he doesn’t have a way with words, he wasn’t able to articulate why he finds Kenshin so aggravating
