Huh. Here I was certain it was going to be the Nameless Ugly Dragon since it was shown last and has such a vague description.

Can't say I like the hero instantly curing the plague entirely. We've spent how long watching it buildup, waiting to see how the MC solves it, and then... someone else does it as an afterthought? Lame follow-through.

Disregarding the spoiler cover, I honestly thought he might go for Demon Chariot instead. He seems to being using roll way more than most ability and there is not much uncontrollable aoe curse (he just need to be careful where he rolls). Hermaphrodic dragon was bold choice for sure.

Nameless ugly dragon is kinda cool despite the horrible name, description sound like something out of Dark soul.

Considering the lore the last hero probably killed a pandora. Since it's the one with a destroy landscape description. Either that or the death curse.

Right now he needs raw power for the 1v1 against the strong hero, so Demonic Chariot and Pandora that specialize in mass destruction are out, especially Pandora whose selling point is the curse after his death. The Nameless Ugly dragon is too misterious and, since it constantly emits a curse and poison, probably not too strong without them, which is a problem agains a hero that can use holly magic, so also out. The only viable choices are Gorgon and Ouroboros, and because Gorgon is "only" A- whereas Ouroboros is A, and because the hero is likely to be able to somewhat mitigate the cursed eyes of Gorgon, Ouroboros is the safest bet, even though it comes with it's own risk with having a second head pop out, plus he probably wouldn't be too thrilled with becoming a hermaphrodite, but desperate times require desperate measures

The problem with Pandora is that it was defeated by a hero in the past. Although he is now facing a different hero, the hero probably has knowledge of how the previous Pandora was defeated.

This is a fun one to think about.

The dragon as a whole? That'd be plural they/them, because it's a being with two independent minds & personalities.

But each head is still its own thing. And especially early on, it's the pre-existing head/personality that continues to call the shots. And that head retains the old male/masculine persona. So the regular he/him pronouns would remain appropriate, because what the dragon as a whole is doing is still down to the older head/personality being in the driver's seat.

It'll probably get more complicated than that when the younger feminine head matures, though...

Futa's generally don't have separate male and female heads, though...

That being said, this does kinda echo the myth of Hermaphroditus.

He started out as a minor god, conventionally male and all. But then he got molested by a water nymph who was obsessively in love with him, and she prayed that she'd become one with him so they'd always be together.

The gods were then like "hold my beer" and physically fused her with Hermaphroditus. Next thing you know, the nymph was gone and Hermaphroditus was now a hot chick with a dick.

He was pretty salty about it, though.

IIRC the nymph's personality disappeared completely after the fusion. But aside from that, the notion of a male entity and a female entity being conjoined into a single hermaphroditic body does apply to our dragon protagonist as well.
