She has charm(?) magic that's been leaking subconsciously and that's why everyone loves her. I might have understood it wrong, but it seems like the charm magic was activated because she fell in love with Duke, who's an absolute chad being able to block it since he already loves Alicia. Liz's antagonism towards Alicia was jealousy that she couldn't have the perfect life she imagined when she found out she was the Saintess, being married to Duke and bringing peace to the world.

My theory at this point is that the Saintess is "broken" because of the Villainess' actions. If the world worked as it should in the game, everything would work out for the Saintess. Everything would be sunshine and rainbows.

However, the Villainess has altered the world, and it's not playing out the way it should. The Saintess cannot cope with this change, and keeps trying to function as she was made to, a cliche, love-wins-all paragon of mercy and love. Like a broken cuckoo clock.

I'm guessing she's going to go insane as a result.
