>Why doesn't the Church just use the Witchs to help killing the Demonic beast ?
The Church was actually made by witches in the past to turn 'useless' witches who can't help in the fight (Mystery Moon would fall under this category for example) into God's Punishment Warrior, who will then be possessed by the sacrificed witch's soul to control the body thus giving them a powerful warrior to fight the demons.
(normally you only need half the witch's blood for the ritual, which is still a lethal blood loss but it'll give them time to transfer the witch's soul into a holding vessel, the current Church use the full amount for 2 attempts)
However eventually the humans who succeed the witch pope 'betrayed' them.
In their fear of the witches ever rising to the pope position again and take revenge for this, they keep the truth hidden and basically go full oppression on witches, also they only use the incomplete GPW without the witch's soul to be their obedient puppets instead of a bunch of Extraordinary who might turn on them for failing to adhere to the mission.
>Why the Pope is so okay in using an airborne poison that could kill tons of innocent people ?
Their goal is to unite humanity as soon as they can for the war against demons that they know is coming up soon, for this purpose they're willing to sacrifice the few to shut down the opposing voices.
Btw, Roland also do similar thing to a lesser degree (killing/jailing nobles opposing him) when he start working towards that uniting humanity to fight demons.
>What does the Church believe ?
To fight and win against the demons in the Battle of Divine Will, because losing = all humans become extinct (there's an artifact that if stolen by opposing race, will basically kill everyone of the losing side)
>Is only one Church or there's multiple sectors ?
One church, however only a few actually know the whole truth (the Pope being the only one to know the full details, cardinals like Mayne know some 'darker' secrets etc)
