@Orenji-kun for some reason i feel like its something else cause with this one they need an explanation y no male witches exist and i cant imagine something that doesn't sound its like that cause we say so
some wierd explaination that they have magic cause their oragans got remodeled so they can produce it is also not it cause u can just look at them if they are dead(dude iam writing shit like iam drunk sry xD, i swear iam not)
the thing is shouldn't he be able to research that cause he already has microscopes (i think at least or was that some different manga)
cause if it looks 1:1 the same it should work the same right?(btw that and the thing above is about the evolution theory, iam writing stuff the moment i think about it )
or the author is just not gonna answer it at all xD
also kinda wierd that u never saw them (ok now that i think about it its not, they wanna have a big audience etc) but iam gonna continue writing what i thought
in rl (yeah comparing rl and a fictional story is dumb but iam gonna do it anyway) some dude would have 100% used them in the red light district cause they cant get pregnant and witches without fighting abilities are just like normal humans in terms of fighting strength
even witches with fighting abilities can just get a chain with that stone on
@Dezaki ikr. Its always offsetting when that happens.
And when your parents tell you it might be them, its like BANG!
But seriously, they resolved this a lot sooner than I anticipated. This could have easily been a mini-arc of misunderstandings as he tries to verify who she is and how they are related. His wife didn't even suspect him of being unfaithful. Its like this author's idea of plot is not stop, stall, break, or stutter. Just GO!
@Xenopsyche Totally forgot about that.... no wonder he concluded it wasn't a descendant so quickly.
Does this mean one of her harem members had a second lover on the side, or was she a daughter of the family, and her portrait got put up because they were so proud that their baby girl became a witch.
Also, father seems like he probably knows about witches, and thinks rather favorably of them. I guess they come from a region not heavily influenced by the church. Well, I guess that makes sense for a descendant of her people. Can't wait for her to find out
a few is an understatement.
the novels are so full of details its insane xD
The novels go deep on expressing every little detail which doesn't translate well into manga or anime.
But for a manga adaptation, it's pretty much perfect as it doesn't skip much of the story and is faithful to the original source.
You are totally right, but he doesn't know she is a witch.
He also has never actually met her after Roland saved her from the coffin.
He believes that the woman in the portrait is just somebody from their family who went missing that his family has been looking for.
Only his dad really knows the truth because of plot reasons that are going to be explained next chapter.
I could be wrong remembering it wrong but...
Wasn't it mentioned by
some of the ancient witches who became tentacle monsters
that magic itself makes them infertile because it kills the fetus like some kind of toxic energy?
Because of plot reasons, magic isn't a natural thing after all.
hmmm, after rereading Agatha's revival chapters, maybe they are descendants of the one of the humans she treated well/appointed as assistants at her tower?
Yes, but not quite since he can't actually manipulate magic power himself. Also there's no sign of him having a kid with Anna or Nightingale in the epilogue. And I don't recall them giving any other explanations, but if magic power really was killing the baby then there would at least be examples of witches having still births or low magic witches mothering other witches that can handle the magic power.
Stillbirths are one thing, but if the fetus/the eggs/the sperm itself is killed too early then the body will consume the fetus back into the body.
So it's more a matter of the fetus never getting the chance to grow in the first place. ( can´t be a stillbirth it there is nothing to give birth too after all)
As for witches giving birth to other witches, as I explained above, if all fetuses die before they can grow into maturity, there won´t be a pregnancy period at all... Ofc that would be a matter of how much magic does it take to kill the pregnancy
Considering most witches get their magic power long before they can get pregnant it's unlikely they ever could have a successful pregnancy if even a small dose of magic can kill the child.
Granted, not impossible... but the chances are so small it would basically never happen.
The best bet for a natural-born witch would be to somehow get a mutation where the fetus becomes magic resistant enough to survive.
As for the epilogue, it was left vague on purpose ( some blame the author's wife for strongly disliking harem endings )
We don´t know for sure if he even married both of them, but it was heavily suggested.
Also considering...
that he is more or less a god at the end
Roland probably could fix that problem with fertility if he wanted too.
Not to mention
that "the dream world" occupants
might be able to help with it too with more modern equipment and tools.
Test tube babies could be a future possibility... ofc there is still nothing that says a child of a witch is going to be a witch in the first place...but its a start...
They are only human after all...
Well she did have that blonde guy as her slave before she iced herself. He probably survived, started a family, and basically named her as their founder or something.
