To add meaning to Hishiro's words, Arata's last name Kaizaki, the first part Kai means sea/ocean. And also the fact that his place of comfort is the sea
Anyways the red one also resembles Chizuru's hair ties to a T since her tie is an x with a red hairband. Added to the fact that she remembers he likes red from An's words back during the yukata shopping (and why she chose a red yukata at the end) ^^
