That's not careless. Even if it was on the fly, it was a decision that he's been considering for the longest while because he despised how the company functioned. It was only through his senpai's suicide that became the trigger for him to quit the company but it was something that was thought out in the long run. Even if he became unemployed, he himself says, anything is basically better than staying in that company where harrassment and competition is the norms.
