Honestly, as much as I dislike Rashta personally, I've always found it a little uncomfortable how the tone of the story heaps the blame onto someone who really is just a former slave trying to eke out a better life for herself amongst a bunch of nobles instead of the Emperor who is the actual asshole in this situation. Almost feels like the moral of the story is 'know your place, slave'.

@Amarrez well you do have a point but it was clear that it wasn’t the first time a emperor took a consort, eventually the emperor will get blamed for actions and that’s a long way till it happens, and in my point of view the empress isn’t blaming her she’s bothered by the mistress oft her husband who by multiply times that she shouldn’t get and doesn’t want to be involved with her but her the stupid trash doesn’t get it

@Amarrez I understand how you feel, but trust me when I tell you that she deserves what she's getting. Some of her choices seem like the desperation of a slave, specially in the beginning, but later in the story, what she does is all on her.
But yes, the emperor is just as much to blame, especially towards the actual divorce. Dude deserves a kick in the nuts with steel-toe boots. Repeatedly.

@Amarrez I forgot she was a slave lmao. Tbh I kinda wish the author put more emphasis on Rashta being a former slave and doing all she can to survive, fully aware of the possible consequences and grey-zone-morality of her actions. It would make her character less like a 2-dimensional villian and more of a compelling antagonist to the mc.

Trashta really pales in comparison to the Empress. And I loved this chapter. I can’t wait for more of their interactions in this form.

@sandpaper that still wouldn’t make her likeable, but I do agree that her desperation should be shown. We still have time for a full on background on her. Hopefully, there’ll be better insight to how she was treated as a slave and how she encountered the Emperor. I hope that’s all shown for better understanding.

For real, I love this manwha...BUT I LOVED THE NOVEL!
Some of y’all might be feeling bad for Trashta, But if u read the novel, She is no less guilty, She could have done things in a different way, and trying to get close to the empress after taking her man....NO DUH SHES GONNA HATE U 🙄
