Her mere presence drags down the story and makes it worse just for the fact we have to withstand her.

It was scary yes, some rooms were filled with bodybags. But even then, you cannot refuse a patient, except for the really really sick ones that need ventilator or HFNC and your hospital don't have any more available (like mine had like 5 HFNC and all of them were used back then). Or if the patient needs ECMO and your hospital has no one qualified to install them.
