Remove all Manwha and ban uploads of them

As the Korean Blackmailing industry(With that I mean Kakao, etc. The manwha publishers) is pretty much behind most of the DMCA takedowns and Manwha being the prime target for the worse scanlation groups, I think it might just be the best Idea to put the entire Genre into the dustbin and just not bother with the trouble any more.

Maybe allow self-published or ones with a clear permission, but otherwise, just remove Korean Manwha entirely from the site and not allow any uploads

I don't get why [REDACTED] help us to know what was claimed, but oh well..
You are looking at the list of all the DMCA, but each single DMCA can claim more than a single serie, you have to open the DMCA report, each serie removed is written inside

They even DMCA the comments!??
They seem to target also the forum quite often

I could see them going after someone who posts a screen cap of a panel or something similar. However, commentary about the work should not be covered by copyright, so aside from removing the offending images, I'm doubtful much else on the forums can be forced down by this route.

Huh? But that's a doujin. How the hell did that come to be?
Looking up the name of the claimer also doesn't deliver any results and doesn't line up with the author.

Is it possible this got caught by the Uma Musume folks themselves, and pulled down because it was a doujin? (Am I remembering a post from some time back about them being really strict about fan works, or did I make that up in my head?)

I think it was more on the lines of making porn of the characters, since apparently the people behind the games/anime/etc are using the horse's image with permissions from the original handlers. Also the whole debacle spawned this funny meme:

The doujin wouldn't have broken any guidelines, given it was SFW and the focus character wasn't based on a real honse.
The stuff that would warrant enforcement is also still on the site, much to my dismay.

It doesn't really make any sense for it to be taken down.
-Cygames wouldn't have any interest in it, given that the original webcomic is still up (And in japanese, where the Uma Fans are much more intense about taking down infringing content).
-The author also doesn't seem to be involved, given the different name from the claimant.

Even if the series were against said guidelines, MangaDex staff already said they'd ignore that kind of petitions as they have nothing to do with their policy. The discrepancy between artist name and submitter name may be just pen name vs real name. Any way or another, if the person who submitted could prove to own or share the rights of distribution of that title (for example, another member of the circle) then the DMCA is valid.
Having said that, this keeps going off-topic.

That was in reference to user requests, as I had done. If Cygames themselves made a takedown request, that would be something different.
But yeah, returning to the topic of the ban on Korean stuff due to it being a DMCA magnet

Still, if there is any further discussion, it probs should be a thread in the Support forum.
A thread to track and talk about DMCA, and the attacks on manga sites, would be interesting to have, given there are few new DMCA every single day. (13 DMCA at mangadex today)
The News forum may be a better place than the Support forum, considering part of this thread seems to have originated from the comick and batoto threads of the News forum.
