I mean she doesn't deserve 100% of the blame tho. Dude is kinda shitty himselfIt's like what she said herself, she was totally in the wrong, her ego was super inflated, and she put herself on a pedestal.
Just because he confessed does not mean that he is somehow not her equal. I'm certain that he would have apologized profusely if she had told him the truth.
The FMC's actions gave the MC good reason to feel unsettled and her actions in response to his concerns only worsened his insecurity.
The FMC complains about the MC fishing for compliments, but never even told him she liked him, once, even though he obviously went out of his way to show her that he cared for her, and based on looking at her behavior during the flashback, and her describing her opinion of him as tacky and unattractive, it's likely she treated him poorly throughout their relationship, due to not thinking much of him and a lot of herself, so can you blame him for seeking out some affection?
The FMC absolutely did not deserve to be in a relationship with the MC at all.
It doesn't look like she fell out of love though? She realised how she was acting like an entitled idiot and regretted her decision. She also said she kept crying about him and if you think about it she fell in love with him all over again rather than fall out of love. It's because both of them were shitty people.
The main character had no self esteem so he constantly fished his girlfriend for compliments. The low self esteem also lead to upon seeing her with another guy, he concluded she was cheating. He may have also been stalking her, to be able to "coincidently" just catch her with a guy like that. He has a nasty personality too: with how he just burst in and accused her and his present actions of harboring a grudge for years and creating an intricate revenge plan.
Also pointed out is the girl had a big head since she was pretty and treated the guy horribly. She riddiculed his hobbies never told him she loved him. Although, the reason she "lied" about cheating is because she was upset that he accused her, which made her fall out of love with him on the spot.
Honestly they were both terrible, so ironically, they're perfect for eachother.
He's not being a needlessly edgy contrarian. He was doing this immature prank to wash his hands of this relationship because it was supposed to be the end of it as far as he was concerned.Best moment of the chapter was when she jumped on him from behind to stop him from leaving.
Everything after that (last 10 pages) was so dumb though.
Like... sure, it was incredibly dumb of her to not deny the cheating; hell, let alone move away, he could have offed himself. And she was arrogant back then, sure. She's the one mostly at fault. This revenge prank was obviously mean but he immediately cleared it up with her.
But if they know they both like each other so much in the present, why is this guy being a needlessly edgy contrarian and forcing her to chase after him like some wimpy Heisei era harem MC who's afraid of women? What is the purpose??
WomenFrom what I took away:
She felt like she shouldn't have to justify herself to a guy that confessed to her, and she selfishly wanted him to just assume it wasn't true from one interaction. Plus she thought it was wrong of him to take the picture in the first place rather than talk to her. If you look at the break up again, he barges in and accuses her of cheating and while she doesn't deny it she also never actively admits it. She wants him to fawn over her without questioning her behaviour.
Who said it was a love hotel? If you go back to the image it just says hotel. Also, her relative was visiting, so that's more proof that it's simply a hotel. You do realize that (Love) Hotels are basically places where people go to have sex, right?
Teenage ego. That was a wild story, but I still don't understand why she admitted to cheating when she didn't 😕
yes
Honestly i was expecting the girl to know who he was and playing around with his past to actually think she was in love with him just to pull a 180 and say shit like she did back thenImmaturity + emotional reaction.
To explain her side - he accused her of cheating, and he showed her pictures and she got mad. She says she was too full of herself having had someone confess to her and his low self esteem and "simping" behavior made her not super into him, and because of his accusation she convinced herself she didn't like him and decided to just ignore him like he ignored her. Basically the silent treatment. Immature shit, but they were middle schoolers, what do you expect? However, later on she realized her feelings, her mistake, and all the good things about him she never noticed before, and he had already moved away.
Ultimately I like this story, though I went in expecting incel bullshit it turned out quite realistic in a lot of ways. The stupidity of her actions is pretty realistic for 14-15 year old logic.
At first glance, I thought she stabbed him in the neckBest moment of the chapter was when she jumped on him from behind to stop him from leaving.
