That's all of the main chapters in Volume 5 done! We still have two bonus chapters and afterwords left in Volume 5 - I'll translate them all at once then publish both at the same time (the other team member is busy, so she won't be able to help out for these bonus chapters)

Chapter 26 in no sooner than May 27th, as that is the release date for Volume 6, whose raws we don't have at the moment. We already have some ideas on what the contents of Chapter 26 might be already, though.

Also, from now onwards, with full character names, we'll do family name first. Hope that's alright. We both use family name first when it comes to full names in real life, so switching that around makes the names sound weird for us.

The timing is a bit hazy, but I guess Suzumi wrote the letter almost right after the festival and then fell into a coma... The parents acting like that still doesn't sit quite right with me, but it's whatever at this point, Suzumi's arc is over anyway.

At first I assumed replicas were just a projection of each owner's latent talents/qualities, but this chapter makes it clear that onwer and replica are like yin and yang:
  • Nao is cheerful and hardworking/studious, while Sunao is way more cold and tends (tended) to shirk away from her responsibilities;
  • Shuuya would not mind resorting to dirty tricks, but Aki is righteous to a fault;
  • we don't know much about Suzumi, but it's made clear she has no talent whasoever for paiting, unlike Ryou...

This actually makes way more sense, and it ties nicely with that teenage angst a normal person goes through during those years of their life. If only the author could give a decent enough explanation for the origin of this power this story could be absolute cinema (it's already good, just not at the highest of its peak).
