On a side note this behaviour was expected, told you mate that when you give people too much power and let them interact with each other nothing good come out, unwanted and distruptive people will eventually come. Glad you sort everything out.

I would suggest giving away rankings based on contribution, number of post, etc.. and label such users as "trusted".
