Would have been better if he was Isekai'd. Escapism into a video game doesn't pay the bills unless the manga explains how the MC makes money out of game like streaming or selling in game items.

Hard to judge the series from a first chapter, but this felt a little bit weird to read in some aspects because of how the narration felt like I reading a point by point generic LN synopsis.
1. Absurd crime happens to MC who is renown doll-maker from his family member who was jealous of him
2. Tries out VMMORPG game, specifically about making dolls which is his forte
3. Has high expectations/pride in his doll-making skills, to the point that the awfully non-neutral guide NPC goes, "OMG he could be the one who changes everything! He's so special!"
It would say it pretty average from the first chapter, but maybe even lower than that depending on how the writing progress.
