Glasses Girl is Ayane.

Daytona+Maria (the two little girls shown in this chapter) never really show up in this manga. They grow up to be the heroes who he went on his demon king killing adventure with in his previous life, who're only really known in this manga as the ancestors of the current two "main girls" in the present time (Maria is fire girl's ancestor, Daytona is ice girl's ancestor).

The flashback scenes of Maria+Daytona shown here are referencing the prequel manga, which is why it seems out of place / unfamiliar. Kind of like the flashbacks he has about his previous master who picked him up, that's a plot from the prequel manga that never really gets expanded much on this one.

Well, they fought for so long that the other mage was close to running out of magic power. It's not out of question that the MC would be losing his concentration and making mistakes too. At this point in life, MC is an assassin, so he is probably not used to lengthy battles.

Yeah tbh this is the kind of manga that should've been axed or at least the one that ends way early and abruptly. There are manga out there that, as trashy as they are, still deserved more than this one. Idk how tf does this manga being alive this long.

We've already seen Maria, Daytona and Cain. Roy(the wind hero, the ancestor of the academy principal, the guy who prepared Abel a retirement home/island when the war was over) is the only hero that haven't been introduced.

I don't care about what some of you say, I thoroughly enjoy this manga and Abel x Lilith is simply food for the soul for me.

You say it should have been axed but it must be doing something right to keep the Japanese audience coming back and the publisher to keep paying for production.
