Well that was gay in a lot of ways. I am not satisfied with how author decided to play this arch out.

@RaijinWolf You serious right now? This whole story is built on the premise that the mc developed resurrection magic, and used it to reincarnate himself in the future.

I'll never understand Isekai with the fantastic racism of some of the villains. Even when the "inferior" person shows they're superior and kicks their accusers ass, they just keep raging about how inferior they are. It takes a special kind of stupid (and terrible writing) to be so one dimensional.

It is absolutely naive and morally degraded to think consciously sparing a murderer like him would make you become a better person, but then again he is a minor so I guess he can get away with more murders at least until he became an adult then.

The only way is to take his life.

Take his life
Take his fucking life
The only way

In the end, it doesn't even matter.

@red225 You realize your argument is taken from the real world, right? You cannot apply such an argument on fantasy fiction since there are variables that don't exist in the real world. You think Batman is smart simply locking up the villains who have insane power, enough power to just break out of jail half the time and then go on another killing spree? No, you can't just simply get away with that.
In the real world we can put people in places where they can be harmless to others around them. With talking super powered shit, you literally can't. Even in Deadpool 2 where they disabled all the super powers, OH LOOK ANOTHER SUPER POWER GUY COMES OUT OF NO WHERE AND JAILBREAKS ALL THE SUPER POWERED PEOPLE! What a smart idea.
If the protagonist didn't have the means to save his soul it is necessary to put him down. He would only be a danger to everyone alive.

@KLGChaos : you never played an online game in your life, uh?

Some people would be like that, blaming everything to others, thinking they are perfect (or they have flaws but they know what they are so THIS time it's not their fault, this time being every time). And accusing other people they see as inferior of cheating or foul play.

This type of people exist irl, it's harder to find because most of the time people keep their thoughts for themselves but they exist anyway.

@weeabootrash that is very much something called Consequences.

If you can foresee that leaving someone at your murder alive is going to get people killed, you get to choose murdering him, saving lives and potentially having society see you as someone who kills unarmed, helpless people and charge you of murder, or you can hand him over to the police and let their fate be decided by what society thinks is fair.

But then again, if literally anything can happen on a fantasy world or comic book, then even murder isn't necessarily going to help.

In comic book worlds, if you want to argue that murdering bad guys is right, because otherwise they would just break out of jail, I can argue that murdering them is just as pointless because oh look a magic user or godlike being brought them back to life.

It's funny that you jump to real world conclusions just like the girl here - assuming murder would stop a bad guy and not allow them to be revived through some dark magic means, or have their consciousness copied, or cloned, or be dragged out of hell, or any other sort of method.

The protagonist straight up does what you want, and stabs the spider guy to death.

Great job, murdering really was the final solution that you wanted, isn't it? He's dead, can't hurt a single person ever again and is much better than locking him up.

Oh wait, he's brought back to life because there are variables that don't exist in the real world. (And the spider can just possess him again, and you are back to square one.)

I think mc's decision to spare Bass'es worthless life would've made sense if:

-Bass would've shown ANY remorse at any time for his wrongdoings (obviously, he did not)
-Bass would've been under a spell/brainwashed (At least for now, there haven't been any hint of such)

So we know for sure that by now Bass has 2x attempted murder (mc & Noel), and 1x assault (Ted). He also destroyed schools property, which were old valuable/possibly indispensable books.
So yeah we already saw that the guy is rotten to the core (from his childhood), AND he hasn't shown yet any signs of correcting his ways..

Basically only rational thing that awaits this asshole, is being kicked out of school, and also a jail sentence.

Mc should already have enough life experience to make the decision to kill such an individual.
We have not been shown any reason to believe that he'll become a better person after his punishment/sentence.
Possibly he'll just become more of a nutcase, and murder people in the future (and destroy more books)

I've even sort of enjoyed this mc so far, but I think he made the wrong decision here,
and he got soft just because of a naive stupid young girl..

Hopefully Abel will put some defensive and/or concealment magic on that room so that people can't just break in from now on lol.

Also, Why did she let him go? It doesn't seem like he said anything to her per se. :\

Either way, really weird that he'd save the guy tbh
