As a child I never questioned the events of this fairytale... Now that I re-read this fairytale as an adult....gosh; that king sucks! One day was not enough but he kept her in some room all by herself with hay to make him gold for three days straight! One day should have been enough to prove her innocence... And what reward did she even get for giving him all that gold? Being locked again until she even had to trade her non existent child away? & Rumpel was her saviour only to betrayed in the end because the queen didn't keep her word. This is messed up XDDD

I honestly believe this is one of the worst first chapters I have ever read. All this author did was take a chapter from Grimms' Fairy Tales, make pretty pictures and nothing else. This would have been better served as having said princess being told this story from a nanny, obviously skipping on details and just having the kid draw her own conclusions. Would have told the backstory, shown the main character and some of her influences as a child.

man, poor Rumpelstiltskin. saved this broad's life three times, only for her to whine when he comes to collect what she promised. then, when he gives her an additional chance to get out of her debt out of the kindness of his heart, she goes and cheats. what a bint.

it's a damn shame her father probably never got punished for his assholery. he was definitely the biggest villain here.
