I'm okay if it's not in the tsundere way of being cautious and wary. I get that the Bandits and the person who betrayed them are men, but they're the ones who saved you and are going out of their way to help you, show a bit of appreciation.

You can still be cautious without being bratty.

to be fair, he was being an idiot here. He just saw his wife show exactly how he should conduct himself in this situation, telling them exactly what they're about to do/asking before doing it and he just kinda grabs her shit without thinking. He really should have been following her example here.
