you pretty much summed it up. He is NOT the reincarnation.

He reminds her of her bf from earth and at first that’s why she liked him. It is pretty sad that the earring shopping was the point she realized that she loved our MC and he wasn’t just a replacement for her dead bf anymore. Took her quite a while.
Wait,
doesn't she still think MC and her BF are the same person/his reincarnation? Did she realized that's not the case? I didn't notice.

she never thought he is the same person.

Her dead bf was just like our MC a big and stupidly friendly guy. It’s actually not especially detailed when she explains it. But it seems his looks and demeanor where pretty similar.

If anyone is interested, it’s Vol.1 Chapter 4.

does this count as ntr lmao
Kinda.
It specially depends on if FMC fell for MC because he is simmilar to her dead BF (Wich is a heavy, because it means she still has some feelings for the guy but it's also natural to remember an old lover)
Or if FMC thinks MC is her reincarnated BF. Because in such case she doesn't even like him for being him.

Well... I'll watch the next chapters. But... This ending disappointed me quite a bit. And seeing the spoilers here already gives me an overview of the situation, and it's pretty stupid.

so if he is not her boyfriend from earth who died protecting her why the hell did she said multiple time that he really hasn’t changed ??? Does that mean she’s that much of a delusional thinking he is her boyfriend from earth when he is not ? If she died and got isekaied just after doesn’t that mean her boyfriend could actually also being Isekaied and is actually somewhere in this world ? The beginning was really good but now this could become a huge BS NTR crap like her real boyfriend reappearing either to take her back from mc (so ntr’d the mc ) or the other way around the poor dude seeing the woman he love and even sacrificed his live for making out with the prince bruhhh Japanese authors really love their bullcrap NTR story way to much

Not really, she's very obviously reincarnated. Chapter 1 had her gasp that "Atsuhito" name when she saw Saryu for the first time.

Legit, this gonna be the make or break for me. I'm dropping if he doesn't show some sort of interest in "Atsuhito" that doesn't immediately peter out by next next chapter.
Seems more like a transmigration story than an isekai or reincarnation, given that she speaks what I assume is Japanese, and the setting is about as cliche of a villainess story plotline as possible. Those two things imply she was a Japanese woman transmigrated into a book she was reading
Edit: reading some of the spoilers in the comments makes me realize it is not the case lol

This kinda tragic tho.... leaving bad taste in my tongue.... when your fiance sleeptalks of her ex....
.
Why not author make Saryu(Our MC )reincarnation of Asuhito
Of course Saryu totally not remember of his past life at all, unlike her
But this clearly better outcome although so cliche
