This assassination seems poorly thought out. The minister seemed to want to stop the two kingdoms from forging closer ties, as that would put them in a bad position (already lost trading opportunities, for example). But if that's the case, they need the death to at least looks like it was caused by negligence of some kind. If it's an obvious assassination in the middle of the ceremony, with guests from all over, it could easily lead to both kingdoms joining forces to hunt down whoever is responsible. And how will the assassins escape? Security should be extremely high, expecting this to go off without anyone figuring out the culprit is unrealistic.

Page 11 He's worried the ceremony is soon? They're having a reception after the ceremony we just saw last chapter. The transition panel says the reception was after.

well hopefully we don't have to sit with this cliffhanger for too long.

It looks like we're caught up to the raws, and most scanlators actually obey the laws of time, space, and causality and don't release chapters before they exist, sooooooo..... :p

But I respect the "kindness can sting more than a blade" approach of Sitoen. Yes, sometimes you want to rearrange someone's face when they're as much of a shit as the prince from the previous kingdom, but there's something to be said for taking the high road every once in a while - especially when it can really drive home how small the other person has been.

"They say 'the best revenge is living well'; I will live so well that history will tremble in dismay. I will hear the wailing of the children and lamentations of the widows over how well I've lived. Generations shall pass, and still the burning memory of my well-lived life shall bring nightmares.

All shall gaze upon how well I've lived, and despair."

Security should be extremely high? Well, apparently the security is not there in the first place. Whoever was responsible for the security has obviously been bribed and is already far away with a good sum of money in his pockets. With all those important people present, normally security would be so tight it would be impossible for those assassins to ever lurk there so unfettered. Unless, indeed, it was made possible for them to be there on purpose.

In reality this is just extremely lazy writing.

I more meant that with the New Year, often times mangaka (and creatives in general) take time off from whatever they're working on / art in general.

And I support rest and time off for artists; just also hopeful it won't be like, sometime in March before this picks back up.
