Why wouldn't he just print out all of Wiki[pedia and bring it on the magic carpet? Or physics textbooks and such? Then they could learn how to make glass... Ugh talk about a donkan protag when it comes to science, even if he is handling social stuff well

@MeAKAErik I am as very frustrated as you are. If I were him would have downloaded all of the text and videos of all the knowledge on the different fields in Earth in a 20 Terabyte or more storage and bring a very beefy (powerful) computer. Just the technology from modern Earth is enough to make a country a super power. I would also make an academy where they teach the selected knowledge and also put a required ranking of graduates if they wish to access higher knowledge, but for highly confidential and dangerous ones are required for a special procedure and test and many more.

Man, too bad he's just a plain guy who is just so tired from working and hadn't thought of the value of KNOWLEDGE would do to that primitive world. He had like a huge carpet to get many stuff and he chose to just bring things that would provide basic "leisure" to him over there. Man, a year and I would have gotten sick of just having those and not make things that hasn't even existed in that world yet. Just the profit alone MAN!

Sorry if it got too long, I've been reading lots of Isekai Japanese Manga and novels and they all have one in common, they only wish to live a simple and comfortable life in another world where some want to bang lots of women, some laze around, some want to just travel and sigh seeing, and some want to close themselves in a enclosed mansion. Well, there are some that are good though like "Kamitachi ni Hirowareta Otoko." Ohh well, I guess not even one Japanese Isekai manga had a gist of world building yet.

@VanJosh No problem, I love getting notifications from random stuff now and then. Yeah I would love to see an isekai manga where they just totally revolutionize the other world with technology (GATE doesn't count).

@MeAKAErik Thanks. Yah GATE sucked so much in the end. I've read its novel till the end and no world building whatsoever. I guess the author decided to just speed up the ending since he must have lost the inspiration to think even more plotlines into the story. I just see the most Isekai authors live a simple life and don't want to make any more awesome things when they "feel" like things are tiring. Ohh well, thanks again.

A romance that isn’t a harem and actually moves the love story along. Nice

Yeah. Should have brought a library with him. Library genesis(more than a million non-fiction books) fits on 8 modern drives.

Also, wtf is this separate sleeping during pregnancy?

Do you want him to have any room on the carpet for himself?

Better, but here's the thing. He was pretty good at his job and became good at reading people as a result of it, but he was prioritizing becoming a NEET with zero ambitions when he was preparing to come here. He doesn't need to improve the country to live comfortably in it, he's marrying into royalty and brought a bunch of comforts from home with him to help himself out staying comfortable until he adjusted to anything that is different here. He also didn't even know what things they would need to know specifically to do things like make glass if they weren't already doing it. There is a hell of a lot to prepare if you want to cover specifics, let alone all of the general knowledge of the human race. What does he prioritize? How should he gather it and transport it? Those considerations alone could have taken a lot of time.

I also doubt the queen briefed him on this world's level in science and technology before sending him back home to get ready for the real summoning. It simply may not have occurred to him that anything he could look up would be particularly useful in a world that has actual magic. A huge change in circumstances like this is probably pretty distracting too, may have missed some "obvious" ideas because some big titty queen from another world wanted to marry him out of the blue, that's no big deal or anything.

I think you guys complaining about him not being "more equipped" to play kingdom builder (by bringing a bunch of physics and mechanical engineering textbooks or whatever) have really not internalized his situation at all. When he was first summoned he was explicitly informed that he had only two goals:
1) Make kids with the queen.
2) Be as much of a political non-entity as humanly possible.
Coming all loaded up to kickstart the industrial revolution wouldn't conflict with Goal 1 but it would be hugely in conflict with Goal 2. By doing so he would be actively going against what Aura asked of him and (though he probably doesn't know it) if Aura found out he brought along a bunch of books that could revolutionize her civilization there's a fairly good chance she would just have him quietly executed since, you know, that is exactly what she doesn't want in a husband.

Why go through all that work when you can just laze around comfortably? It has also been established that the MC is not the ambitious type. If you want a story where an MC brings modern technology to a medieval world, check out Release That Witch. I’ve read the novel and it’s pretty good. Can’t say anything about the manga, though (I haven’t read it). It’s pretty fun watching him advance in the tech tree up to the
atomic era
and lay waste to all his enemies.

Last few chapters I went into "You're going to isekai and yet you fail to bring technology, chemistry, geology books with you? Like even a simple glass blowing manual would be worth a country and a half! Why did you not bring any knowledge with you?!"

Well here's the answer this manga gives: "Mate, if we use all our trump cards in one hand, we'd have nothing to surprise you with. Relax ya batty and take it in SLOW"

EDIT: Nevermind. MC is an idiot after all...

Lets be real he had alot of time to prepair. He could have easily got some books. Basic books from library would be enough to start a civilization. Imagine freaking metal alloys. Titanium would be hard to make because you need chemistry. But if he could pull that out ( by some miracle ) imagine wide scale of titanium . Weapons armor that alone would make the kingdom one league above others

Are Japanese people really so fragile that they can't sleep in the same bed or have their bellies exposed while pregnant? The only issue i've heard of with early pregnancy is impact to the womb, meaning no sex (or just be very gentle). Guess they wouldn't really have that problem though, would they?
