"Close to the mark" because the only way Mako could surpass Kou is if she gets more characterization that proves her character matches her looks--Kou is just that charming, and Mako has unfortunately been given even less characterization than that twintail friend/classmate. Mako beats Kou in terms of looks alone, though.

Would be totally fine if the flatchest was removed for Mako--at least you can see her entering the harem because of the positive history she has with MC-kun; Flatchest has only a history of disowning her "beloved" before her friends behind his back and trying to wreck his current romance. That, and Mako looks infinitely better--and doesn't look like she was thrown in to appeal to the "wider audience".
