Thanks for the info on the monkey and crab story, I had no clue what that was about. The mermaid story made me wonder... people live a lot longer than dogs. What will she when she loses the doggo? I don't wanna think too much on it, losing pets is too sad for me. So much doggy face grabbing recently in this manga. It is too cute.

@MoonlightwolfchanX well there's always mermaid meat. Also, in a world of talking dogs and aliens and mythological creatures, the dog may very well have a human lifespan. Also, she's no ordinary girl, considering she's casually whipping up tech. Who knows, maybe she could easily build tools for immortality.

@SnowingSilently Yeah I was thinking too literally since it is a sci-fi anime. Pretty much anything can happen. Also Shiba Inu is in the title of the manga so it really wouldn't make sense for the dog to not be there anymore.
