Also I know I've seen this sort of thing before in some classic story, where someone is kind and gives one thing after another and it ends up with them getting the thing they want, the moral obviously being about karma and all that. Can't remember what the darn thing was though which is irritating me, and of course this series being what it is they throw in a bit of freaky twist at the end.
