Seriously, I love Ranna as a character and heroine but the brainwashing aspect of his forehead tattoo(demon talisman or whatever) kinda puts me off. I believe if he ever loses it she'll still love him(most likely) And the tattoo is what made her actually look at him in the first place but still. Being brainwashed into liking someone just gives me the heebee jeebees.

I definitely think it's by design. Like Rokudou feels a level of guilt about it and that's what makes him wanna solve his own issues without her.
