Although if so, the twisting of the curse seems to be missing (since being perceived as an uggo seemed to be part of the wish, not the tradeoff.) There's still a piece of the puzzle that's yet to be revealed.

Man that's got to suck for Lynn as MC, even though sieg felt more like a MC this arc. So she is basically a different version or maybe reincarnation of kriemhild granted by that ring and her wish. The omake gave some hints so it's nice to see more details in this chapter.

We found out earlier that she was named "Lynn/Rin" is because of the ring. It also now makes sense why Brunhild is the only one who's seen through the curse, Kriemhild wanted her to "see her for who she is."
