i wonder if i would like them as i love sour food, but I didn't know kids had trouble with sour things, but that could be just japanese kids.

most ppl I know didn't really like sour things until certain age though, maybe it's Asian things? I don't really like to eat them and I'm in my thirties lol

Chinese probaby has the biggest variety

My place also have a lot of pickle product usually eat as snack sometimes as guilty pleasure, due to its sourness

Geez, how many plum trees does this pre-school have?

The oddball Moka aside, it's kinda strange that Hinata is totally okay with eating them too. Even if her mind's a granny, she's still physically a child, and children have very sensitive tastebuds at a young age.
My favorite food tended to change every few years while I was growing up.

Salt for pickling. What is that uh, brining? I don't know much about this general food subject since cucumbers are basically the only thing anyone here seems to eat pickled and I don't like 'em.

Every Japanese daycare is required to keep at least a dozen large glass jars just in case hundreds of plums need to be pickled at once.
