I’d assume she was left in the pile and just left there to rot in the aftermath. They just all left after getting what they wanted, I suppose.
But yeah, I wonder if that’s what they meant by “If you’re exposed to much to the miasma, you start turning into a monster.”… Maybe there’s types of miasma that turn you into different things, and they just happened to be exposed to spider miasma?? Could’ve also been force-fed them as a puppet, assuming that’s what the Arachne does. I thought SHE was the one awakening their skills through puppeteering, but guess not, since even her subordinates can do it and check what they have. Also not sure why I thought the old lady would’ve been the younger sister at first. Guess it’s ‘cause that’s how things usually go. Definitely more heartbreaking to see the cries for help and it slowly and abruptly fading into nothingness.
While I wanna say that it’s possible they were ex-humans…unlikely considering he’s a speedrun mindset only kinda guy. Sorta. Maybe?? Lol.
