You could create education for commoners and allow them to be allowed to show off their talents and pursue goals, raising them up. Commoners will inevitably begin to gain more power as a result of the more talented individuals being able to live better lives as a result.

The more commoners that become educated, the more free thinkers there will be, and the nobles will inevitably lose their power more and more. No matter how much nobles try to oppose it, once you give commoners education, it cannot ever be taken away.

@Ninja Here we literally just saw a monarchy where the child of the king got the boot for being dangerous to the country, leaving a detached cousin in line of sucession; yes, the pool is quite limited, but it's not just the direct descendancy of the royal family but also the noble housea who also share some connection to the royal family (hence the common ducal marriages).

If you want an example of quick shifting of powers, I advise you to read about the War of the Roses, which inspired many people including George R. R. Martin from GoT fame; dang incident had so many changes of power it would leave a normal person dizzy.

@omegaxis1 Yeah, but in order to do that you need to do it bits and pieces at a time like painting a classical oil portrait, you don't go and dump the entire batch of pigments all at once, spread with your fingers, use your spit as medium and then hope to get a Rembrandt, specially when you have yet to receive the goddamn frame.

Yup. You have to first set things up so that commoners can start to obtain education similar to that of nobles, while also opening doors over possible jobs that require work like theirs. In fact, in the story called "Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami", in chapter 12, the isekai villainess Duke's daughter took over a fief and placed a school for commoners in the fiefdom, which was to educate them and allow more possibilities for jobs for them in the future that is in need for the nation, such as studying medicine so there are more doctors, because there are so few around.

The idiot prince tried to preach equality but lacked the necessary common sense to understand that change doesn't happen immediately. Even if you use war and it can provide the fastest changes, that still won't change everything immediately.

Even in today's world where the "official caste system" is abolished, there is no true equality amongst people. There will always be those social class divides based on wealth, education, gender, etc. To speak of True Equality is to speak of naivety. 😐

Technically, the prince is sort of right.. but it is almost next to impossible to do overnight, the social balance will collapse immediately. You have to do it gradually, start small like giving education to the low social clas and things like that.. and in that time setting, that kind of thinking openly is stupid AF, you have to make sure you have and maintain power to make those changes yourself, and by being vocal to that idea you just made sure that those who maintains that status quo to know that they need to get rid of you who currently in line to have that power.
