After the situation with Oshi no Ko, or even more so, One Piece, I’m ready to wait as long as necessary, the main thing is that the author does not harm his health and that the quality of the manga does not decline. Moreover, as we already know, the author of this manga needs time to save his health.

it was? holy crap, i literally followed this title even from when it was still oneshot until it got serialized until the hiatus, and yet i forgot, either my memory is shit or i'm too traumatized from the wait to remember 'cause i genuinely love this series

Edit : oh yeah, it is 20 months, i legit keep checking whether the author already came back or not monthly back then, how did i even forgot about this

As far as I know, he is a fairly young guy, so he expectedly did not pull off the infamous weekly Shonen Jump schedules, which are terrible for the health of even the most experienced adult mangaka. For example, the author of One Piece devoted more than 20 years to the magazine and by the age of 50 he developed diabetes, gout and eye problems.

that's what i heard too, but iirc, wasn't shindou masaki already have health issue before he got the serialization? it just that it suddenly got worse when he got serialized, it legit broke my heart when i read the hiatus message since ruri dragon is one of those manga that made me goes "this is it!" when i first read it before
