Considering that the existence of dragons is a well kept secret, Kashiro's phone is now a threat to national security. Then again, with so many data leaks it seems like "their entire city must be purged".

Sounds like a great premise for a 00s urban dark fantasy LN.
I was waiting by her friends become snow women or ice statues =(
"Oh no, I froze my friends! I need to save them or they'll die!"

Damn, I feel like I'm back in the teen fantasy shows of the '00s. Too much nostalgia in this thread.

she only had girls for audience when she's freezing the pool when it was literally one of the "boys will see this and say HELL YEAH" stuff

Now i am curious if those abilities are entirely "scientific" or are they more on the magical side, Ruri was able to control the form of her ice... maybe it is like Iceman from the X-men, a form of "organic" ice that she can control at molecular level... which isnt exactly "scientific", ain't it? XD
Not scientific in the slightest. Remember she can redirect typhoons? This requires many orders of magnitude more energy than anything else she's done, but narratively, that's just something dragons do period.

RuriDragon: The Manga Where Everything’s Fine™
Her classmates are also incredibly chill for teenagers, without jealous whispers or bullying.
But eh, why not? Everything's fine at least in a manga, god sees we have enough trouble in rl already.

RuriDragon: The Manga Where Everything’s Fine™
Doesn't make it a bad thing. A peaceful and funny manga to take your mind of the real life issues.

Then again, 2 episodes ago it said that this is a "stormy part of her dragonification". Last episode Ruri's freakish nature was made a study topic for the whole class, and while you'd think that this will all lead to her snapping, breaking under the pressure or something. But no, she got to play in a pool, skipped a lesson, and now she's the master of ice. Is that really the worst that happens to her?

Does the ice melt like normal ice? If so, she just made a massive puddle in that classroom with that hedgehog joke.

Not sure I am digging Ruri willingly choosing to become the class clown.
at the end of the day she just wants to be accepted and for people not to be scared. Best way to do that is to make yourself the butt of the joke. She's slowly coming to accept herself, so maybe one day she won't have to, but for now it's a social safety mechanism.

I don't care how much of a dick I sound. Converting the units to Fahrenheit, when the series canonically takes place in Japan where they use Celsius, not specifying that that's the system they're using (just "degrees" instead of "degrees F" for example), and not even including a note on the side or bottom with the other units for the entire rest of the world who might be reading this, is so incredibly pigheaded it makes me want to puke. Preferably right onto this translator's face.
