I try to reflect the person speaking. Dias speaks fairly directly and without any fancy words. The old lady kind of twists her words around and uses big words. Aruna is pretty brusque to Dias but more polite and uses slightly more grown up words with there old lady. A lot of the big words probably came from the old lady and it was intentional.

That is literally terrible. He fights for the Kingdom and yet they give him a grassy plain with nothing on it. No subordinates either, so I can guess the King is afraid of him. Usually, people lauded as Heroes can be a danger to the ruler because they have so much public opinion on their side. The King 'rewarded' him to appease the public but also gave him something that couldn't threaten him. Annoying that this guy has to deal with distrust just because he protected his home.

Just starting this and looks interesting from the first chapter. The main guy annoys me a bit though. He's too dense. Not in the comedic way you see from so many harem protagonists. More like he's got the mind of a child who can't comprehend basic social structures. How could he be confused about what role he was given when he lived for over 30 years in such a society? Not understanding his obligations I could get but he doesn't seem to even understand the concept. Did they keep him in a box until he was ready to fight? Being illiterate doesn't make you stupid so that's not an excuse. I hope he improves and looking forward to how this progresses. Aruna is cute. That is all.

army man is found in the wilderness by local girl
originally hostile, changes her tone without explaining anything after some magic-ey event happens
brings back army man to the village where he's gawked at by the villages
army man gets threatened but the matriarch makes the aggressor stop
matriarch says some stuff about being taught the ways of the people by the girl
girl gets angry but will inevitably develop an at least amicable relationship with the army man
